Harding+ has appointed Jeremy Fennell as its new CEO, effective October 1, 2026, succeeding Chris Matthews who will remain involved as executive director. Chairman Mike Coupe emphasized that this appointment is part of a well-planned transition, pointing to Matthews’ contributions that have positioned the company for growth.
Fennell brings a wealth of experience from his previous role as group chief operating officer at SSP Group, where he also served as CEO for Continental Europe and the Nordics. Prior to that, he spent over twenty years at Dixons Carphone, taking on significant roles including managing director of Carphone Warehouse and leader of Dixons Travel.
Expressing his enthusiasm for the new role, Fennell highlighted the unique position of Harding+ in the travel retail sector and the momentum created under Matthews’ leadership. He aims to collaborate with colleagues, cruise line partners, and suppliers to enhance retail experiences for guests.
