AIDA Welcomes the Next Generation: Meet Our 2026 Trainees!

AIDA Cruises has welcomed over 40 new trainees to various shoreside and at-sea departments. The onboarding team includes three individuals starting as tourism management assistants, three as office management assistants, and one as an event management assistant at AIDA’s offices in Rostock, Germany. Additionally, eight trainees will engage as dialogue marketing assistants, while one will focus on digitalization management. The program also features four dual-study students involved in Business Administration.

Prior to their official start, these trainees experienced a visit aboard the AIDAmar, gaining insights into AIDA’s operations. Janett Hübner, manager of junior programs at AIDA, expressed enthusiasm for the new cohort, stating that they bring fresh perspectives, innovative ideas, and considerable motivation. Hübner is confident that the newcomers will not only develop professionally but also integrate into a strong team environment.

Alongside the shoreside trainees, 24 cadets embarked on a two-week sailing trip aboard the Grossherzogin Elisabeth training ship. This traditional training voyage is essential for prospective officers in nautical science, marine engineering, and marine electrical engineering. The journey will take them from Elsfleth, Germany, through the Kiel Canal and back along the Baltic coast. During this expedition, junior officers will immerse themselves in maritime life and learn foundational seamanship skills, including setting sails, watchkeeping, and navigation.

Following the voyage, these cadets will commence their first assignments aboard an AIDA ship. They are also scheduled to begin theoretical courses at universities in Rostock-Warnemünde and Wismar in the upcoming year. This comprehensive training program serves as a vital stepping stone toward successful careers in the nautical and technical fields at AIDA.
