Zac Brown has cemented his relationship with Margaritaville by becoming the Godfather of the new cruise ship Beachcomber, the largest in the Margaritaville at Sea fleet. The three-time GRAMMY Award winner will officially christen the ship in Miami on January 9, 2027, where he will also perform during the ship’s inaugural celebration before it sets sail.
This partnership between Brown and Margaritaville is deeply rooted in music and highlights the legacy of Jimmy Buffett. Brown helped shape the ship’s features, particularly a live music venue named Same Boat, inspired by his song and designed to showcase various artists throughout the inaugural season. This venue pays homage to Brown’s musical friendship with Buffett, who has been a significant influence in his career.
The christening event will mark a significant moment in maritime tradition as it welcomes the ship into service while also wishing it safe travels. Later, on January 28, Beachcomber, along with the other two ships in the fleet, Islander and Paradise, will gather in Nassau for a unique event featuring a concert headlined by Brown, further highlighting the cruise line’s rapid growth since its inception in 2022.
