Royal Caribbean’s Vision of the Seas has altered its upcoming itinerary due to adverse weather conditions affecting the Northeast coast of North America. Originally scheduled to depart from Baltimore on September 24, 2026, for a nine-night voyage to various destinations including Boston, Portland, and Halifax, the ship will instead set sail for the Bahamas and Florida.
In a statement communicated to guests, Royal Caribbean explained that they have been monitoring several weather systems and deemed it necessary to change the itinerary for passenger safety. The ship will stay docked in Baltimore for an extra day before making its way to Port Canaveral, Nassau, and Grand Bahama.
The company acknowledged the inconvenience, noting that check-in and boarding had to be postponed until later that afternoon due to delays from the ship’s previous sailing. The new departure from Baltimore is now set for 3:00 PM on September 25, 2026.
For guests who had pre-booked shore excursions for the originally planned ports, Royal Caribbean will provide refunds as onboard credits. Despite the shift in plans, the company expressed enthusiasm about the new destinations.
The Vision of the Seas will continue its scheduled cruises from Baltimore before repositioning to Puerto Rico in early November.
