Marella Cruises has unveiled six new itineraries for summer 2028, including four repositioning voyages and a new Greek port of call: Patras. Bookings open October 15, 2026, with departures beginning in April 2028.
In July, Marella Explorer will call at Patras for the first time during its seven-night Grecian Gems itinerary from Corfu. The port offers access to historic sites, including the Church of St Andrew, as well as views over the Gulf of Patras.
The adults-only Marella Explorer 2 will sail a new seven-night Spanish Shores itinerary from Malaga, starting in June. The route includes Gibraltar, Ibiza Town, Mahón in Menorca, Palma de Mallorca and Cartagena.
Four repositioning cruises are also planned for April 2028:
- Marella Explorer will sail to Corfu on a 10-night voyage from Las Palmas, Gran Canaria, and an 11-night sailing from Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
- Marella Discovery 2 will offer a five-night Flavours of the Mediterranean cruise from Palma de Mallorca to Dubrovnik.
- Marella Explorer 2 will make a 13-night Transatlantic Treasures crossing from Barbados to Malaga.
- Marella Voyager will sail a 13-night Atlantic Horizons crossing from Barbados to Palma de Mallorca.
The repositioning voyages will include extra onboard entertainment, such as guest speakers, special shows, showcases and tribute performances.
Other ships will continue operating from established European homeports. Marella Discovery and Marella Voyager will be based in Palma de Mallorca, while Marella Discovery 2 will sail from Dubrovnik.
Marella is also expanding its cruise-and-stay offering, with 119 hotels across Mallorca, Corfu, Dubrovnik and Malaga. Packages will be available to travellers departing from 22 airports in the UK and the Republic of Ireland.
The company said the programme builds on demand for its existing homeports and Eastern Mediterranean itineraries. It also marks Marella’s return to Malaga for another summer season and adds more destination and cruise-and-stay options.
Tips and service charges are included in Marella’s standard all-inclusive fares. Summer 2028 Grecian Gems itineraries start at GBP 1,966.
