Princess Cruises is raising the prices of its Plus and Premier add-on packages by $5 per person per day for sailings departing on or after Oct. 13. The company is also changing its standalone Wi-Fi options.
Princess Plus will cost $70 per day, while Princess Premier will rise to $105. On Sun Princess and Star Princess, the packages will cost $75 and $110 per day, respectively.
Plus includes up to 15 alcoholic drinks daily, four casual meals, room service, prepaid gratuities and Wi-Fi for one device. Premier includes unlimited drinks within its per-drink limit, casual and specialty dining, room service, gratuities, Wi-Fi for four devices and up to $300 in shore-excursion credits per person.
The cruise line says it reviews package prices to account for operating costs while continuing to offer bundled value. It also noted that included crew appreciation goes to crew members.
Princess is retiring its four-device standalone Wi-Fi tier and introducing a two-device option for $39.99 per day. Single-device internet now costs $39.99 for a 24-hour purchase or $33.99 per day when bought for the full sailing.
The changes prompted some travelers to question whether the bundles remain worthwhile. Some said they may choose a standard fare and pay separately for the services they use, while others said the price hike could affect their decision to sail with Princess again.
The price increase follows the cruise line’s announcement of stricter booking policies for new reservations on sailings departing in 2027 and later. Those changes include final payment 120 days before departure and a revised cancellation-fee schedule.
