Princess Cruises will expand its Sanctuary Collection to five more ships in 2027: Royal Princess, Regal Princess, Discovery Princess, Sky Princess, and Enchanted Princess. The rollout is part of a multiyear fleet modernization program focused on enhancing the onboard guest experience.
The Sanctuary Collection debuted on Sun Princess and Star Princess. Princess says the expansion will bring a more private, resort-style experience to additional ships while keeping the wider range of destinations and activities available on a Princess cruise.
First sailings with the Sanctuary Collection
The experience will be introduced on each ship as spaces are converted:
- Royal Princess: January 4, 2027, departing Sydney on a 12-night roundtrip Fiji cruise
- Regal Princess: April 17, 2027, departing Fort Lauderdale on a 13-night transatlantic sailing to Southampton
- Discovery Princess: April 24, 2027, departing Los Angeles on a seven-night roundtrip Mexican Riviera cruise
- Sky Princess: May 29, 2027, departing Southampton on a 14-night roundtrip Baltic cruise
- Enchanted Princess: June 12, 2027, departing Civitavecchia on a seven-night Mediterranean and Adriatic cruise
Bookings are already open for the Royal Princess. Sales for the other ships are scheduled to begin on November 5 for Regal Princess, December 4 for Discovery Princess, December 10 for Sky Princess, and December 17 for Enchanted Princess.
Guests already booked in a Reserve Collection stateroom aboard Royal Princess will be moved to the Sanctuary Collection at no extra cost. However, they will not receive the Princess Premier package included with new Sanctuary Collection bookings. Princess has not confirmed whether existing bookings on the other four ships will also be changed.
The cruise line has not said whether the upgrades will require dry docks. Renovation work could take place during voyages before the collection becomes available, potentially making some onboard areas temporarily inaccessible.
What the Sanctuary Collection includes
The collection covers selected suites and other staterooms, with newly built oceanview rooms included as the program expands. Depending on the ship, selected mini-suites and balcony staterooms may also qualify.
Sanctuary Suite guests will have access to a dedicated concierge and an exclusive Suite Lounge. All Sanctuary Collection guests can use the private Sanctuary Club, which offers lounge areas, personalized service, a dedicated pool, and upgraded loungers. Cabanas are available for an additional fee, and food and drinks can be served poolside. Live music is also offered at times.
Guests will also be able to dine at the Sanctuary Restaurant, which serves menus inspired by the ship’s destinations. New Sanctuary Collection bookings will include the Princess Premier package, with benefits such as premium beverages, specialty dining, high-speed Wi-Fi, gratuities, and complimentary room service.
