Port Everglades welcomed more than 5.38 million cruise guests in 2026, setting a new record for the third year in a row.
As the new cruise season began in October, the Broward County Board of County Commissioners approved the FY2027 budget and Port Everglades appointed Martin Jackson to lead its newly created Cruise Services Division. Jackson previously served as assistant director of the Cruise Services Section.
Port Director and CEO Joseph Morris said the restructure is intended to give the cruise business greater support as it serves guests and cruise line partners and prepares for growth. Jackson said the division would focus on consistent operations and continuous improvement.
The port has also released its Port Everglades 2027–28 Cruise Guide. Its cover features Florida Paradise, artwork by South Florida-based artist Romero Britto. A print of the work has been installed on the southeast side of the Palm Garage.
Several ships and brands are joining the port’s lineup. Royal Caribbean’s Legend of the Seas is scheduled to homeport there for the 2027 season, while Orient Express Sailing Yachts and Crystal’s Symphony are also new to the port. In total, nine cruise lines and 40 ships are expected this season: Celebrity Cruises, Cunard Line, Crystal, Disney Cruise Line, Holland America Line, Orient Express, Princess Cruises, Royal Caribbean and Viking Ocean Cruises.
Port upgrades include a refresh of Cruise Terminal 18, where the terminal has been painted ocean blue and the embarkation hall and VIP lounge have been updated. More than 850 parking spaces have also been added next to the terminal, bringing the port’s total to 6,386.
