Lindblad Expeditions has completed its 2028–2029 voyage programme, adding new itineraries, longer expeditions and additional opportunities to explore with its expedition fleet and selected charter vessels.
The expanded schedule builds on the deployment announced in August, with new and extended voyages in the Galápagos, Baja California and the Amazon. It also adds expeditions in Costa Rica and Panama, Egypt and Peru. Voyages will be led by expedition specialists, including naturalists, historians, scientists and photographers.
Galápagos and Peru
Eight Galápagos itineraries, ranging from seven to 17 days, will sail aboard National Geographic Endeavour II, National Geographic Islander II, National Geographic Gemini and National Geographic Delfina. Back-to-back departures will give guests more time to explore the islands and their wildlife with naturalists and expedition teams.
A new 2029 Peru and Galápagos Escape will pair visits to Cusco, the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu with an expedition to the archipelago, including wildlife watching and snorkelling.
Costa Rica and Panama
A new 15-day voyage will link Costa Rica’s Pacific wilderness and Guanacaste highlands with Panama’s rainforests, Pearl Islands and Canal. An expanded eight-day Guanacaste itinerary will offer additional opportunities for nature and cultural discovery.
Guests will be able to take Zodiac excursions, kayak, paddleboard and snorkel, and visit Gatún Lake and Barro Colorado Island. These Central American journeys will operate aboard National Geographic Venture.
Amazon, Baja California and Egypt
From November 2028 through October 2029, the Upper Amazon: A River Expedition will explore Peru’s Pacaya-Samiria National Reserve aboard Delfin II and Delfin III. Skiff, kayak and walking excursions will offer chances to spot pink river dolphins, primates, macaws, sloths and caimans. Visits to Ribereño communities will also introduce guests to local initiatives supported by Minga Peru.
In Baja California, National Geographic Quest will sail itineraries focused on the Gulf of California’s desert and marine environments, seasonal grey whale encounters and a holiday-season departure.
The Egypt programme will feature The Passage Through Egypt Aboard Oberoi Philae, a voyage for up to 44 guests between Cairo and Abu Simbel. Egyptologists and certified photography instructors will accompany visits to landmarks such as the Pyramids and Sphinx, as well as Saqqara, Dendera and Kom Ombo.
Lindblad Expeditions said the expanded programme reflects its focus on in-depth destination experiences, with longer itineraries, small vessels and active exploration. Expedition teams will adapt each voyage to local conditions, wildlife activity and opportunities for discovery.
