Jason Montague Appointed Chief Luxury Officer at NCLH to Drive Upscale Fleet Expansion

Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings has announced a significant leadership change as part of its ambitious fleet expansion for its luxury cruise brands. Jason Montague will take on the role of Chief Luxury Officer, effective February 17, 2025, where he will oversee Regent Seven Seas Cruises and Oceania Cruises. Previously, Montague served as president for these brands, bringing over two decades of luxury hospitality experience to his new position.

This leadership shift is pivotal to executing the company’s "Charting the Course" strategy. NCLH has plans to add five new ships to its upscale fleet while refurbishing nearly all existing vessels. Harry Sommer, the company’s president and CEO, praised Montague’s extensive experience and financial acumen, asserting his capability to drive the brands forward within the luxury segment.

Oceania Cruises is set to welcome three new ships by 2029, starting with Allura later this year, alongside refurbishments for Marina and Riviera in 2026 and 2027. Regent Seven Seas Cruises will also see two new vessels added by 2029, with enhancements planned for Seven Seas Mariner and Seven Seas Voyager in 2025 and 2026, respectively.

Montague expressed his excitement about leading both award-winning brands, focusing on delivering high-quality, luxurious cruise experiences. Andrea DeMarco, the current president of Regent Seven Seas Cruises, will continue in her role until March 4, 2025, to ensure a smooth transition.

The company will continue to strengthen its position in the ultra-premium and luxury markets, paving the way for future growth and innovation in upscale cruising experiences.
