Royal Caribbean Extends Proposal Deadline for Bahamian Businesses at Royal Beach Club
Royal Caribbean International (RCI) has announced an extension for Bahamian businesses to submit proposals to participate in the development of the 17-acre Royal Beach Club on Paradise Island. This decision comes after a significant interest from local entrepreneurs who are excited to contribute to the project, which is scheduled to open in late 2025.
The Royal Beach Club is envisioned to incorporate Bahamian culture and services and will provide opportunities in various areas, including facilities and pool maintenance, landscaping, local ticket sales, entertainment, and an array of beach and water activities. One highlighted feature will be a unique venue called "The Bunker."
Businesses selected to join this initiative will collaborate with established local partners like Island Site Design, Bahamas Environmental Group, Engineering and Technical Services, and others, all of which are foundational to the project’s construction that commenced in April 2024.
This venture represents a public-private partnership, enabling Bahamians to own up to 49% equity in the project, thus merging the natural beauty and spirit of The Bahamas with Royal Caribbean’s renowned experiences.
