Emirates Airlines and TUI Cruises Join Forces to Strengthen Dubai’s Thriving Cruise Industry

Emirates Airlines and TUI Cruises have renewed their strategic partnership to enhance Dubai’s standing as a major hub for global cruise tourism. The agreement was signed at ITB Berlin by top executives from both companies, focusing on TUI’s plans to expand homeporting operations in Dubai, including introducing a second ship for the 2025-2026 cruise season.

As part of this collaboration, Emirates will align its flight schedules with TUI’s cruise itineraries, facilitating smoother connections for travelers. The partnership will also reserve dedicated seating on Emirates flights for cruise passengers, improving transport coordination between Dubai Airport (DXB) and Port Rashid Cruise Terminal.

Plans are in motion to extend this cooperation to routes across the Far East, including those serviced by the Mein Schiff 6, which is set to operate a 14-day cruise from Singapore, visiting Malaysia, Thailand, Hong Kong, Vietnam, and Japan.

Port Rashid’s Hamdan bin Mohammed Cruise Terminal plays a crucial role in this initiative, capable of processing up to 14,000 passengers daily. Emirates will continue to offer 16 dedicated check-in counters at the terminal, allowing cruise travelers to check in their luggage and receive boarding passes up to four hours before their departure. Moreover, efficiency will be enhanced with streamlined check-in processes for cruise guests.

For the upcoming season, TUI will base two vessels at Port Rashid, each with a capacity of over 2,500 passengers, with itineraries originating from Dubai and including stops in Abu Dhabi, Oman, and Qatar.
