Celestyal Introduces Exciting 14-Night Repositioning Voyages in the Arabian Gulf
Celestyal Cruises has announced the addition of four exciting 14-night repositioning voyages as part of its upcoming winter schedule in the Arabian Gulf. These itineraries will include two new destinations: Jordan and Saudi Arabia, and they mark the company’s return to Egypt after a two-year pause.
The new route, titled "Ancient Athens to Amazing Abu Dhabi," will be offered across both of Celestyal’s vessels. The Celestyal Journey is set to depart from Athens on November 22, 2025, visiting notable ports such as Port Said, Sharm El Sheikh, Aqaba, Jeddah, and Muscat, before concluding in Abu Dhabi on December 6, 2025. This timing coincides with the weekend of the Formula 1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Following this voyage, the ship will embark on another journey, "Desert Days and Abu Dhabi Grand Prix," which will include the grand prix weekend alongside a subsequent 7-day "Desert Days" itinerary.
Likewise, Celestyal Discovery will set sail from Athens on November 28, 2025, with a similar itinerary that adds a stop at Kusadasi in Turkey. This vessel will also make its inaugural visit to Abu Dhabi on December 13, 2025, before beginning its winter season with a series of 3-, 4-, and 7-night "Iconic Arabia" itineraries, homeporting in the Arabian Gulf for the next three years.
For the return trip, Celestyal Journey and Celestyal Discovery will operate the "Amazing Abu Dhabi to Ancient Athens" and "Dazzling Doha to Ancient Athens" repositioning cruises, respectively. Celestyal Discovery will depart Abu Dhabi on March 6, 2026, traveling back to Athens while stopping at Ain Sokhna in Egypt before entering the summer season in Greece. Celestyal Journey will leave Doha on March 21, 2026, making an additional call at Kusadasi on its return.
This latest announcement follows a successful inaugural season for Celestyal Journey in the Arabian Gulf, where bookings surpassed expectations by 27%, highlighting the ongoing demand for cruise experiences in the region.
