A-ROSA Celebrates 20 Years of Rhône River Cruises with Enhanced Itineraries and Special Shipboard Festivities
In May 2025, A-ROSA Flussschiff GmbH celebrates the 20th anniversary of its vessels, A-ROSA LUNA and A-ROSA STELLA, which have been navigating the Rhone River in France since their maiden voyages on May 7, 2005. Both ships were ceremoniously christened on April 7, 2005, kicking off two decades of river cruising in southern France.
To mark this significant milestone, A-ROSA has unveiled new itineraries for the 2025 cruise season. Among these is the 7-night "Rhone Route Provence," featuring extended stays in key locations such as Lyon, Avignon, and Arles. The 9-night "Rhone Route Panorama" will also be available, offering additional scenic cruising on the Saone River.
A highlight of the anniversary season will be a new excursion in Avignon, where guests can enjoy a guided tour on a small train through the city’s historic alleys, concluding at the magnificent Palais des Papes, famous for its grand state rooms and stunning terrace views.
Onboard celebrations will occur throughout the anniversary season aboard A-ROSA LUNA and A-ROSA STELLA, featuring musical performances and entertainment with contributions from local artists, including the trumpeter and singer François Berody from Avignon, enhancing the regional experience on cruises lasting seven nights or more.
For loyal customers and club members, an exclusive 5-day "Route Rendez-Vous" cruise is scheduled from October 24 to 29, 2025. This special itinerary will include curated excursions, premium entertainment, and exceptional culinary experiences.
