MSC Magnifica to Undergo Major Drydock Refurbishment and Reconstruction in 2025
MSC Cruises has unveiled plans for an extensive refurbishment of the MSC Magnifica, set to begin later this year and aimed at enhancing the guest experience. This refurbishment will be the first to introduce the MSC Yacht Club to the ship, a luxurious section that represents a "ship within a ship" concept, spanning five decks. It will include 63 new luxury suites, a private lounge, an exclusive restaurant, and a sun deck equipped with a pool, all supported by 24-hour butler and concierge services.
Bookings for the MSC Yacht Club are already available, with sailings commencing in the summer of 2026. This will be the first time the Yacht Club is offered on itineraries from Warnemünde to destinations in the Baltic and Scandinavia, along with the 2027 MSC World Cruise.
In addition to the Yacht Club, a new MSC Aurea Spa will be part of the enhancements, featuring modern spa amenities including steam rooms, a salt room, emotional showers, and a relaxation area. A new MSC Gym, equipped with Technogym’s latest fitness equipment, will also be introduced on deck 14.
Gianni Onorato, CEO of MSC Cruises, highlighted that this refurbishment represents the largest overhaul by the company in the past decade, showcasing the company’s commitment to upgrading guest experiences across its fleet. The MSC Magnifica, a Musica-class ship that has been in operation since 2010, will benefit significantly from these upgrades, ensuring it continues to offer outstanding service and modern amenities to passengers.
