MSC Cruises Unveils New Specialty Dining Structure Across Its Fleet
MSC Cruises has implemented a significant overhaul of its specialty dining options across its fleet, aimed at improving clarity, variety, and value for guests. A key component of this new approach is the introduction of a fixed-fee dining system, designed to simplify the overall dining experience while still promoting a diverse culinary atmosphere.
Under the updated structure, cruise passengers can enjoy a selection of items from specialty restaurant menus for a single, predetermined price. This fee includes at least one starter, one main course, and one dessert, while select premium items are available for an additional charge. By offering a more comprehensive menu format, MSC intends to enhance the dining experience and make it more accessible to a broader range of guests.
In tandem with this pricing model, MSC has launched new specialty dining packages that grant access to between one and four restaurant visits. These packages provide greater flexibility regarding when and where to dine, with the exception of Butcher’s Cut, which can only be visited once per multi-restaurant package.
MSC emphasizes the cost benefits of booking these specialty dining options in advance, stating that guests who do so can save up to 20% when compared to onboard prices.
The updated dining packages are currently available for reservations, with the cruise line planning additional improvements to the booking and scheduling system. While the selection of specialty restaurants may differ by ship, the new structure and policies uniformly apply to the entire fleet.
