Celebrity Cruises Unveils $250 Million Modernization Plan for Solstice-Class Fleet

Celebrity Cruises has launched a massive refurbishment initiative, investing over $250 million to modernize its Solstice-class fleet. The overhaul will kick off with the Celebrity Solstice in March 2026, followed by enhancements to the Celebrity Equinox, Celebrity Eclipse, Celebrity Silhouette, and Celebrity Reflection.

The primary goal of this modernization is to elevate guest experiences by introducing new venues while refreshing existing spaces. Exciting additions to the ships will include the Boulevard Lounge, a cabaret-style entertainment venue, along with the boulevard bar and the Celebrity Barcade— a sports bar featuring pool and darts.

Culinary experiences are set to expand as well. New dining options like Trattoria Rossa, an Italian restaurant, and the Fine Cut Steakhouse, previously seen on the Edge-class ships, will be introduced. Outdoor spaces will also see enhancements, most notably with the creation of Sunset Park, a half-acre area designed for cocktails, lawn games, open-air concerts, and the addition of private cabanas adjacent to an expanded Sunset Bar.

All accommodations will receive upgrades, particularly the AquaClass staterooms, which will feature spa-inspired amenities such as massaging shower heads and new aromatherapy diffusers. The cruise line will also introduce four new stateroom categories: Panoramic Infinite Veranda Suite, Deluxe Panoramic Oceanview Suite, Panoramic Ocean View Suite, and Deluxe Panoramic Ocean View.

The Retreat, Celebrity’s premium suite offering, will receive notable improvements including enhanced suites, a new sundeck with outdoor seating and a hot tub, as well as a redesigned Retreat Lounge. Additional public areas—like Café Al Bacio, Cellar Masters, the various bars, and the Fitness Center—will undergo significant refurbishments.

The updated Celebrity Solstice is scheduled to sail itineraries in Asia and Australia starting March 2026, with summer voyages planned in Alaska. In September 2026, the ship will embark on a lengthy 110-night Grand Voyage, traveling from Canada to Southeast Asia.
