Celebrity Xcel Unveils Four Exciting Features Before Its Maiden Voyage
Celebrity Xcel is set to launch this November, revealing four exciting new features for guests aboard the impressive cruise ship. Among these innovations are an adult-only games room, a luxurious spa, an exclusive shopping experience, and a private pool club.
One standout feature is the Attic at The Club, a games room designed for adults, allowing them to enjoy nostalgic games such as Pac-Man and NBA Showtime. This space will host activities including pool, darts, and shuffleboard, and can also be reserved for events like karaoke or golf simulations.
The ship’s spa will make waves with its first Hydra Room—part of a therapeutic suite offering over 120 treatments. An inviting Vitamin D Deck will provide panoramic views exclusively for spa guests. Additionally, an interactive shopping experience will allow passengers to try out various beauty products before purchasing.
For pool enthusiasts, the Celebrity Pool Club will provide a premium experience with chilled towels, card games, and cabana rentals. Notably, the venue will transform into an exciting Caribbean-themed event known as the "Poolest Day Ever," featuring live music, special cocktails, and vibrant poolside parties.
Laura Hodges Bethge, the president of Celebrity Cruises, emphasizes that Celebrity Xcel aims to create memorable experiences that go beyond just the destinations. The ship’s inaugural season kicks off with sailings from Fort Lauderdale, further expanding to Europe by Summer 2026, with stops in Barcelona and Athens.
