Margaritaville’s Beachcomber: The Largest Vessel Yet Makes Its Debut on Costa Fortuna
Margaritaville at Sea has introduced its latest cruise ship, the Beachcomber, which stands out as the fleet’s largest and new flagship. Formerly known as Costa Fortuna, the Beachcomber has a capacity exceeding 100,000 GT and can accommodate around 3,450 passengers, significantly larger than its sister ships, Paradise and Islander.
The Beachcomber will showcase beloved venues familiar to Margaritaville fans, including the 5 o’Clock Somewhere Bar & Grill, Cheeseburger in Paradise, Hemisphere Dancer piano lounge, and the License to Chill bar. In addition, it will present 15 new onboard experiences and recreational spaces, all designed to amplify the island-inspired vibes that the brand is known for.
Martha Brabham, the Head of Design, noted that the ship’s aesthetic draws inspiration from vintage surf art and nostalgic beach themes, aligning with Margaritaville’s trademark carefree tropical spirit introduced with Islander in 2024.
Details about the Beachcomber’s homeport and itineraries are yet to be disclosed, though it is anticipated to operate in Florida, continuing the routes to the Bahamas and Caribbean already established by Margaritaville’s existing ships. This new addition signifies Margaritaville’s dedication to expanding its tropical-themed cruising, enhancing capacity, and improving guest experiences under the vibrant island lifestyle theme.
