Tragic Incident Aboard Icon of the Seas: Crew Member Allegedly Stabs Co-Worker and Jumps Overboard

A tragic incident occurred aboard the world’s largest cruise liner, Icon of the Seas, when a crew member allegedly stabbed a female colleague before jumping overboard. The incident took place as the ship was traversing waters near San Salvador Island in the Bahamas.

According to authorities, the suspect, a 35-year-old man whose name has not been disclosed, attacked the 28-year-old woman multiple times, leading to her being treated by the onboard medical team. She is currently in stable condition.

Following the stabbing, the suspect fled the scene and jumped into the ocean. A search and rescue operation was quickly launched, but he was found unresponsive shortly after.

A representative from Royal Caribbean confirmed the incident, stating their onboard security team responded promptly to the dispute. They expressed their condolences to the family and loved ones of the deceased crew member while withholding further details to respect privacy.

This sad event follows a similar occurrence earlier in the year when another passenger fell overboard on the same ship but was thankfully retrieved alive before being declared dead by medical staff later.
