Scarlet Lady Embarks on Virgin Voyages’ Exciting Icelandic Adventure
Virgin Voyages has officially entered the Nordic region with the inaugural visit of its ship, Scarlet Lady, to Iceland. The ship docked at Akureyri on August 3, 2025, marking a significant milestone for the brand. The itinerary includes stops in Ísafjörður and an overnight stay in Reykjavik, as part of a 10-night cruise from England to Iceland and Norway.
This entry into Iceland is part of Virgin Voyager’s strategy to engage adult travelers with immersive and unique travel experiences. The company highlights that Scarlet Lady is pivotal in their expansion plans, responding to high global demand for their distinct cruising model.
In addition to this development, Virgin Voyages is preparing for the debut of its newest ship, Brilliant Lady, which is completing final preparations at Fincantieri’s Palermo shipyard before heading to the UK and Lisbon for preview events. The maiden voyage will kick off from New York City on September 5th, featuring a diverse range of U.S. homeports, including Miami, Los Angeles, and Seattle, with plans to sail to Alaska starting in 2026.
Brilliant Lady is set to enhance the Virgin Voyages experience with a cultural immersion program for its crew, designed to embody the brand’s people-first philosophy and commitment to exceptional hospitality.
