Princess Cruises Unveils Record-Breaking Alaska Deployment for 2027

Princess Cruises has unveiled its most extensive Alaska cruise and cruisetour program for the 2027 season, which is set to open for bookings on August 12, 2025. The cruise line plans to deploy eight ships across various itineraries and provide accommodations at five of its wilderness lodges, leveraging nearly sixty years of experience in the region.

Among the ships returning to Alaska is the Star Princess, a Sphere Class vessel, which will embark on weekly 7-day Inside Passage cruises from Seattle. Princess Cruises will operate a total of 187 departures encompassing 17 itineraries from locations including Seattle, Vancouver (B.C.), Anchorage (Whittier), San Francisco, and Los Angeles.

Terry Thornton, Chief Commercial Officer, stated that the program aims to enhance passenger access to glaciers, wildlife, and local cultural experiences both on land and aboard the ships. The goal is to connect travelers to the essence of Alaska through a mix of scenic cruising, port visits, and integrated land options.

The 2027 itinerary includes four main glacier-viewing destinations: Glacier Bay National Park, Hubbard Glacier, College Fjord, and Endicott Arm (featuring Dawes Glacier), with a total of 85 calls to Glacier Bay. This includes all Voyage of the Glaciers routes and 14-day Grand Adventure voyages departing from Vancouver.

Passengers will also have access to extended itineraries of 9-, 10-, and 16-day voyages. Additionally, 28 unique cruisetour combinations will feature land extensions with rail connections and stays at Princess-owned lodges near prominent national parks including Denali, Kenai Fjords, and Wrangell–St. Elias. The longest cruisetour offers a 17-night journey with stays at each of the five lodges and visits to up to four national parks.

Princess Cruises has established itself in Alaska since 1969 and has been named "Best Cruise Line in Alaska" 21 times by Travel Weekly. The company also announced that early booking incentives and fare reductions will be available for select sailings in the 2027 season.
