Seabourn and Uniworld Unveil Revolutionary River-Ocean Luxury Cruise Experience
Uniworld and Seabourn have officially collaborated to launch an unprecedented cruise experience that merges river cruising with ocean travel. This groundbreaking venture will feature a 15-day itinerary titled “Venice and the Mediterranean Sea,” which combines a 7-night journey on Uniworld’s S.S. La Venezia with a subsequent 7-night sailing aboard Seabourn Quest. Guests will embark from Venice and sail to Athens, making this a unique travel opportunity.
Scheduled departures for this extraordinary cruise will take place on July 5th and August 30th in 2026. The initial river leg includes visits to the picturesque lagoon islands of Burano, Mazzorbo, and Torcello. Highlights for river travelers include an exclusive after-hours tour of St. Mark’s Basilica and a private wine tasting at the historic Dominico di Baglio estate.
Following the river adventure, guests will continue their journey by private transfer to board Seabourn Quest for a week-long ocean exploration. Key ports of call during the ocean segment will feature Vodice in Croatia, the historic town of Kotor in Montenegro, and the culturally rich port of Nafplion in Greece.
This innovative collaboration stems from Uniworld’s customer insights, which indicated that 85% of its clients had experience with ocean cruising. Seabourn has consistently emerged as one of their preferred options.
An optional land extension to Slovenia, featuring visits to Lake Bled and the Postojna Caves, is available, enhancing the overall experience to an 18-day itinerary under the name “Slovenia, Venice & the Mediterranean Sea.”
Given the charm and appeal of this river-to-sea experience, it is anticipated that bookings will fill rapidly, highlighting both brands’ commitment to delivering immersive travel experiences.
