During a recent three-night voyage from Singapore to Phuket, the crew aboard the Genting Dream identified a small boat in distress early on September 3rd while navigating the Strait of Malacca.
Upon noticing an individual signaling for help, the crew immediately sprang into action, initiating rescue procedures to bring the individual aboard with urgency. Once on the ship, the rescued person was provided food and underwent a medical evaluation, which confirmed that they were in stable condition. Coordination is now underway between the sea and medical teams and relevant authorities to ensure a safe transfer to shore.
