Celebrity Unveils New River Ships Compass and Seeker Set to Sail in 2027 Season

Celebrity Cruises is setting its sights on Europe’s inland waterways with the introduction of two new river vessels, the Celebrity Compass and the Celebrity Seeker, set to launch in the 2027 season. These ships are designed to bring the sophistication of the Edge-class ocean liners to river cruising, enhancing the experience of exploring the majestic Rhine and Danube rivers.

Priority Booking Access is currently available, allowing travelers to reserve their staterooms with a fully refundable deposit of $500. The new vessels feature innovative design elements, offering more living space than any river ship before. They include expansive open decks that provide unobstructed 360° views, along with unique amenities such as “Magic Edge” dining pods that are suspended above the water.

The ships will offer 86 staterooms in five different categories, from River View and Infinite Balcony suites to the luxurious Skylight Infinite Balcony Suite and the roomy Vista Balcony Suite. With king-sized beds, ample storage, and plenty of natural light, these accommodations are designed for comfort and elegance. In addition, suites come with on-demand butler service through a feature called “Butler Chat,” offering exclusive dining options, happy hour experiences, complimentary laundry services, and priority shore excursion bookings.

Onboard, guests can enjoy a variety of dining options across eight restaurants and bars, including well-known venues like the Martini Bar and Café al Bacio. The culinary experience is enhanced by incorporating local flavors into menus, with 24-hour meal availability and continental breakfasts served in-cabin.

The inaugural voyages will consist of 33 itineraries over seven days, taking travelers on a scenic journey through renowned European destinations, including Vienna, Budapest, Strasbourg, and Amsterdam. These itineraries will feature visits to festive Christmas Markets and illuminated cities.
