NYK Cruises Unveils Early 2026 Voyage Schedule for Asuka III
NYK Cruises has unveiled the early 2026 schedule for the Asuka III, marking the debut of the company’s first new passenger ship in over 30 years. This Japan-flagged vessel, which commenced operations in July 2025, is set to offer 17 cruises ranging from 4 to 10 days between January 29 and May 2, 2026.
The itineraries will showcase a variety of seasonal attractions across Japan, including visits to national parks and World Heritage sites, along with stops in Guam and South Korea. Each of the 381 guest rooms on board features private ocean-facing balconies adorned with artwork from Japanese artists. Guests will also enjoy amenities like six restaurants, a 24-hour gym, a swimming pool, an open-air bath, and dedicated spaces for business and astronomical observation.
This new cruising program aims to appeal to a diverse audience containing both first-time cruisers and busy professionals seeking short getaway options. It aligns with broader initiatives backed by the Japanese government, aiming to revitalize Japan’s cruise industry. NYK Cruises emphasizes that the Asuka III was designed not only for leisure but also as an enriching experience for body and mind, contributing positively to Japan’s cruise culture.
To promote these upcoming voyages, NYK Cruises organized briefing sessions in Nagoya and Fukuoka in late August and early September. Travel agencies such as JTB Corp., HIS, and Nippon Travel Agency were provided with detailed information about the itineraries and features of Asuka III, along with promotional strategies to attract interested passengers.
