AIDA Cruises Updates 2026 Itineraries for AIDAcosma: Changes Due to Drydocking

AIDA Cruises has announced changes to the itineraries of its AIDAcosma ship for late 2026, necessitated by the vessel’s first scheduled drydock. This maintenance is planned for autumn 2026 and will slightly alter the deployment schedule for AIDAcosma relative to its fleet counterparts.

The affected sailings, originally set for November 29 and December 5, 2026, will now depart earlier on November 26 and December 3, respectively. Both voyages will commence from Palma de Mallorca, with the first being a 6-night Mediterranean cruise that will visit Barcelona, Marseille, La Spezia, and Civitavecchia. The second itinerary is a 7-night journey to the Canary Islands, making stops in Málaga, Cádiz, Puerto de Rosario, and Arrecife, before concluding in Las Palmas.

The drydock period is a routine measure for AIDAcosma, following its entry into service in 2021. Built at Meyer Werft in Papenburg as part of Carnival Corporation’s Excel class, the 180,000-ton vessel is the second LNG-powered cruise ship in the AIDA fleet, following AIDAnova which was launched in 2018. This scheduled maintenance is essential to uphold operational standards and ensure ongoing reliability.

Passengers with pre- and post-cruise travel packages will have their arrangements adjusted according to the new sailing dates. AIDA Cruises is in the process of notifying affected guests and will provide more information regarding changes to itineraries and accommodations. Once the drydocking is complete, AIDAcosma will resume its winter schedule in the Atlantic, primarily focusing on the Canary Islands and Madeira, which are among the line’s most popular winter destinations.
