Margaritaville at Sea Unveils New Beachcomber Homeport Destination
Margaritaville at Sea is preparing to announce the homeport and inaugural sailings for its upcoming ship, the Margaritaville at Sea Beachcomber. The revelation is expected to come next week, with the company teasing “all-new itineraries” and special promotions set for Tuesday morning.
Unlike its other vessels that are based in Palm Beach and Tampa, the Beachcomber will operate from a new, yet-to-be-disclosed homeport. It was acquired from Costa Cruises in May and is scheduled to enter Margaritaville’s fleet in late 2026. Originally named Costa Fortuna, the ship can accommodate 2,720 guests and is slated for a major refurbishment to embody the Margaritaville spirit.
The Beachcomber promises a vibrant design with beach-inspired colors, offering guests a “floating celebration” of the Margaritaville lifestyle. The ship will feature popular venues such as 5 o’Clock Somewhere and Hemisphere Dancer, while also introducing over 15 new experiences tailored specifically for its guests.
Currently, Margaritaville at Sea operates two vessels: the Margaritaville at Sea Islander, which launched in 2024, and the Margaritaville at Sea Paradise, which started sailing short Bahamas and Florida routes in 2022. The company envisions expanding its itineraries, continuing to provide unique cruise experiences to destinations like Key West, Nassau, Cozumel, Grand Cayman, Jamaica, and Belize.
