Celebrity Unveils Plans for First River Cruises in 2027 with Luxurious New Ships

Celebrity Cruises is gearing up to enter the river cruising market, launching two new luxury ships, the Celebrity Compass and Celebrity Seeker, which will embark on seven-day journeys across Europe’s Rhine and Danube rivers starting in 2027. These itineraries will include stops in countries such as Hungary, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, and the Netherlands.

The new ships boast a modern design with four decks and 86 cabins, each featuring ample outdoor spaces, an infinity-edge plunge pool, and unique floating dining pods. Laura Hodges Bethge, president of Celebrity Cruises, emphasized that these vessels will be among the most innovative in the industry, aiming to provide guests with a luxurious experience as they explore beautiful European waterways.

Due to overwhelming demand, priority booking access was briefly opened for reservations, allowing customers to secure a spot with a $500 deposit before it quickly closed. Public bookings will become available later this month.

Onboard, travelers can enjoy various amenities such as a "Sunset Park" on the top deck, multiple relaxation and dining areas, and a range of bar options, including the well-known Martini Bar. Each stateroom includes a king-sized bed and features like the “Infinite Balcony” design, where the wall-to-wall windows can be opened at the touch of a button.

All cruises will include meals, select drinks, Wi-Fi, and daily excursions, with suite guests benefiting from additional perks like butler service and premium dining options. Prices for the River View cabins start at $2,999, while the upscale Vista Balcony Suite can reach up to $8,999 during special itineraries.

The inaugural season will consist of 33 seven-night sailings, showcasing a luxurious river cruising experience that invites travelers to indulge in the charm and beauty of Europe’s legendary rivers.
