MSC Poesia Set for Major Refurbishment Ahead of the Exciting Alaska 2026 Season

MSC Cruises has announced an extensive drydock refurbishment for MSC Poesia in anticipation of its debut Alaskan season in summer 2026. This refurbishment will introduce the luxurious MSC Yacht Club, new specialty dining options, enhanced wellness and fitness facilities, and improvements across various public venues.

The MSC Yacht Club will feature 63 newly designed suites across five categories, which will include both ocean-view balcony and family-friendly connected suites. A standout among these will be the Royal Suite, which accommodates up to six guests and boasts a private whirlpool, a spacious terrace of 78 square meters, and an outdoor shower with breathtaking ocean views. Each suite will be equipped with marble-finished bathrooms, a Nespresso machine, complimentary minibar, high-quality linens, and round-the-clock room service.

Guests accessing the Yacht Club will enjoy exclusive amenities, including a private sundeck with hot tubs and grilling facilities, a dedicated restaurant, a lounge, and the Top Sail Lounge located at the front of the ship, featuring expansive floor-to-ceiling windows. Additionally, public areas will be augmented with new dining venues such as Butcher’s Cut steakhouse, a revamped Kaito Sushi Bar, and the All-Stars Sports Bar. The fitness and wellness amenities will also be enhanced, featuring an ocean-view sauna, a salt room, a Kneipp path, emotional showers, relaxation areas, and expanded fitness options with courts and exercise spaces overlooking the sea.

MSC Poesia will be homeporting in Seattle, offering seven-night itineraries from May through September 2026, visiting sites like Ketchikan, Icy Strait Point, Tracy Arm, Juneau, and Victoria, BC. The ship will reposition for Caribbean and Central America sailings during the winter of 2026-2027, with planned transits through the Panama Canal between Seattle and Miami.
