Virgin Voyages has announced a new fare structure set to launch on October 7, 2025, named VoyageFair Choices. This initiative is designed to enhance transparency, flexibility, and pricing comparability while maintaining the company’s “Always Included Luxury” philosophy.

The fare model aims to better align cruise booking practices with those commonly found in the airline and hotel industries. According to company executives, the new pricing is intended as a lasting change rather than a temporary promotion. The structure features three tiers for Sea Terrace staterooms and below, giving travelers more choices and clearer distinctions in service levels.

1. Base Fare: This is the entry-level option, which has a non-refundable policy, includes a basic WiFi package for one device, and allows dining reservations to be made 15 days prior to sailing.

2. Essential Fare: This tier enhances the current standard, offering broader WiFi access, a 45-day advance for dining reservations, and some flexibility with future voyage credits and limited name changes.

3. Premium Fare: This option includes the best benefits, such as a 60-day dining reservation window, higher-capacity WiFi suitable for streaming, a drinks credit, and priority support before cruising.

For guests in RockStar and Mega RockStar Quarters, the primary update involves an extended dining reservation access period now available 120 days before departure. Existing perks like exclusive venues and priority boarding remain unchanged.

Additionally, Virgin Voyages will now separate gratuity from the base fare, displaying it as an explicit line item during the booking process. Prepaid gratuities will cost US$20 per passenger per night, while onboard payments will be US$22. The overall cruise cost is expected to remain stable, and no additional tipping will be required once gratuities have been paid.

The cruise line assures that core inclusions valued at over US$1,000 per passenger—such as dining options, fitness classes, WiFi, drinks like soda and water, and onboard entertainment—will still be part of every fare.
