Virgin Voyages Unveils New Tiered Fare Structure for Enhanced Travel Choices

Virgin Voyages has announced a new fare structure called VoyageFair Choices, set to launch on October 7, 2025. This revised pricing model aims to enhance transparency, flexibility, and comparability, while still adhering to the company’s “Always Included Luxury” service ethos.

The decision to update the fare structure was made based on feedback from passengers and travel advisors. Company executives indicated that the aim is to make the cruise booking process clearer, similar to frameworks already established in the airline and hotel industries. This is not a temporary promotional strategy but a permanent change designed to provide travelers with more options and clearer distinctions in service levels.

The new pricing will include three tiers for Sea Terrace staterooms and below:

1. Base Fare: This is the lowest entry level with a non-refundable policy, a basic WiFi package for one device, and dining reservations available only 15 days before sailing.

2. Essential Fare: This option maintains the current standards, giving guests broader WiFi access, a 45-day dining reservation window, and some flexibility with future voyage credits and limited name change options.

3. Premium Fare: This tier expands benefits to include a 60-day dining reservation window, enhanced WiFi that can support streaming, a drinks credit, and priority support before the voyage.

For RockStar and Mega RockStar Quarters, the most significant change is an expanded dining reservation access period of 120 days prior to departure, while existing benefits such as priority boarding and in-suite amenities will remain intact.

Additionally, Virgin Voyages will separate service gratuities from the fare. Previously included in the fare, these tips will now be displayed as a separate line item, priced at US$20 per passenger per night for prepayment or US$22 if settled onboard. The company reassured customers that the overall voyage cost remains unchanged and no extra tips are expected once gratuities are covered.

The updated pricing system seeks to empower travelers to choose the right balance of cost, benefits, and flexibility that aligns with their individual travel needs, all while upholding the established service levels that define Virgin Voyages.
