Exploring the High Seas: Carnival Ships on Epic Long Journey Cruises to Hawaii
Two Carnival Cruise Line ships recently embarked on extended voyages to Hawaii as part of Carnival’s Journeys program. The 15-night itineraries feature the Carnival Legend and Carnival Spirit, both offering unique experiences.
The Carnival Legend set sail from San Francisco on September 21, 2025, marking the beginning of its cruise that includes stops in Ensenada, Mexico, and several Hawaiian ports: Kahului in Maui, Honolulu in Oahu, Nawiliwili in Kauai, and Hilo. This cruise allows the ship to spend nine full days cruising the Pacific Ocean before returning to California.
Similarly, the Carnival Spirit launched its own 15-night cruise from Seattle on September 26, 2025. This cruise includes visits to Honolulu, Kahului, Nawiliwili, and Hilo, along with a brief visit to Victoria, British Columbia, on the return journey.
Following their Hawaiian excursions, both ships will reposition for the winter season. The Carnival Legend is scheduled for a 16-night cruise to Galveston, visiting ports in Mexico, Costa Rica, Colombia, and the Cayman Islands. Meanwhile, the Carnival Spirit will operate 16-night voyages between Seattle and New Orleans, touching various ports in the region.
Carnival’s Journeys program aims to offer longer sailings with enriched itineraries and less commonly visited destinations, providing a classic cruising experience that emphasizes both travel and exploration.
