Carnival Venezia Joins CCL’s Expanding Florida Fleet: A New Era for Cruising

Carnival Cruise Line (CCL) has announced the opening of reservations for its 2027-2028 season in Florida, highlighting the repositioning of the Carnival Venezia to South Florida. Starting in May 2027, the Carnival Venezia will be stationed in Miami, where it will offer 6- and 8-day Caribbean voyages, rather than its previous seasonal deployment. The ship will continue sailing from Miami until April 2028, visiting a variety of Caribbean destinations, including Carnival’s exclusive port, Celebration Key, and destinations in Jamaica and the Cayman Islands. On 8-day itineraries, it will additionally stop at Aruba, Bonaire, and Curacao.

In conjunction with the Venezia’s move, the Carnival Magic will remain based in Miami with an expanded itinerary that includes 6- and 8-day cruises to Eastern, Western, and Southern Caribbean locations. Noteworthy stops on these itineraries include exclusive ports like RelaxAway and Half Moon Cay, alongside popular destinations such as Grand Turk, San Juan, St. Maarten, St. Thomas, and St. Croix, with further Southern Caribbean routes including Aruba, Bonaire, and Curacao.

Carnival Vista will also strengthen its presence by operating year-round from Port Canaveral, offering a selection of week-long cruises to Bahamian and Caribbean ports. Its itineraries will feature calls at Celebration Key, RelaxAway, Half Moon Cay, and Isla Tropicale, along with key ports such as Montego Bay, Grand Cayman, San Juan, St. Maarten, and St. Thomas.

Carnival’s repositioning of the Venezia to Miami aims to enhance travel options for guests, allowing for more flexible scheduling and longer itineraries in the Caribbean from a southern hub, while also expanding the operational footprint of both the Magic and Vista in Florida.
