Star Princess Sets Sail on Its Maiden Voyage: A New Era of Oceanic Adventures

Princess Cruises has officially introduced the Star Princess, marking its latest addition to the fleet as part of the SPEHERE-Class series. This maiden voyage commenced in Barcelona, featuring an 11-day journey through the Western Mediterranean.

The Star Princess, weighing 177,800 tons, has a capacity of 4,300 passengers and boasts an impressive array of amenities, including 30 unique dining and bar options, expanded entertainment experiences, and refined accommodations. Its inaugural itinerary includes stops at notable destinations like Marseille, Civitavecchia (to visit Rome), Naples, Sicily, Cartagena, and Gibraltar, returning to Barcelona after its round trip.

Following her Mediterranean debut, the Star Princess is set to embark on a transatlantic journey to Fort Lauderdale, where an official naming ceremony will take place on November 6, 2025. After this, the ship will kick off its winter Caribbean season, with planned itineraries that will include a transit through the Panama Canal to Seattle for a summer 2026 schedule, focusing on 7-day cruises through Alaska’s Inside Passage.

Onboard offerings are designed to enhance the guest experience and include Spellbound by Magic Castle, a magical speakeasy-inspired venue, along with two original theatrical production shows called Meridian and Illuminate performed in the state-of-the-art Princess Arena.
