Star Navigator Set to Resume Keelung Operations for the 2026 Japan and Korea Season
StarDream Cruises has announced that its flagship vessel, the Star Navigator, will return to its homeport of Keelung, Taiwan, in February 2026 after a stint based in Kaohsiung. The ship is set to embark on a 10-month program, running from February 17 to December 11, featuring diverse itineraries throughout Japan and South Korea designed to cater to various travel preferences.
Among the highlighted offerings is a unique 7-night sailing scheduled for August 2, 2026, which will visit notable destinations such as Kochi, Yokohama, Shimizu, and Osaka, allowing guests to immerse themselves in Japan’s rich coastal and cultural fabric—from Kochi’s samurai legacy to Shimizu’s breathtaking views of Mount Fuji and Osaka’s renowned culinary scene.
Added experiences will include 5-night cruises exploring Kyushu and Okinawa, with stops at Kagoshima, Kumamoto, Naha, Fukuoka, and Nagasaki, showcasing Japan’s volcanic landscapes and its southern islands’ relaxed vibe. Other itineraries will connect Japanese and South Korean ports, incorporating stops in Busan and Jeju Island.
For those preferring shorter getaways, there will be 2 to 4-night options visiting popular islands like Naha, Ishigaki, and Miyakojima. Additionally, there will be overnight high-seas cruises perfect for weekend escapes.
Michael Goh, President of StarDream Cruises, expressed that this 2026 program aligns with the rising interest in convenient regional cruise vacations, aiming to enhance the company’s footprint in the North Asian market. Reservations are set to begin on October 16, 2025, accessible via local travel agencies and the StarDream Cruises website.
