Rijeka, a port city on Croatia’s northern Adriatic coast, is becoming increasingly popular as a cruise destination, with a significant rise in ship arrivals expected in 2026. Once primarily known as an industrial port, Rijeka has transformed into a desirable location for both luxury and mass-market cruise liners.

This year, the city welcomed nearly twenty cruise ships to its port, a slight decrease from last year’s thirty. However, the future looks promising, with plans for approximately 40 cruise ships to visit Rijeka in 2026, bringing an estimated 40,000 to 50,000 passengers.

A noteworthy vessel visiting for the first time will be the Costa Deliziosa, which is set to dock in November carrying up to 3,500 passengers and crew.
