MOL-Mitsui Ocean Cruises Reveals Exciting Japan Voyages for 2026
MOL-Mitsui Ocean Cruises has announced 22 new itineraries for 2026 aboard the Mitsui Ocean Fuji, themed “Funatabi – Beautiful Encounters with Japan.” These sailings are now open for booking in North America and promise an immersive experience into Japan’s natural beauty, seasonal traditions, and rich maritime culture.
The voyages will take place from March to December 2026, with durations ranging from 5 to 11 days. They are designed to showcase Japan’s four distinct seasons—offering guests breathtaking views of cherry blossoms in spring, experiencing summer festivals and fireworks, and exploring autumn’s vibrant coasts. Departures are set from major ports such as Tokyo, Yokohama, Nagoya, and Kobe.
Highlighted itineraries include spring voyages following the cherry blossom path, summer trips celebrating local festivals like Nebuta, and autumn cruises that take guests along the southern shores during the equinox. The winter season culminates in a unique “Coastal Japan Christmas” voyage.
Company representatives stated that the itineraries are tailored for travelers looking for authentic cultural experiences. Most ports will feature guided excursions led by English-speaking local experts, along with onboard amenities such as inclusive beverages, Wi-Fi, and cultural programming.
Launched in December 2024, the Mitsui Ocean Fuji is a 32,477-gross-ton vessel with a capacity of 458 guests, focusing on Japanese craftsmanship and hospitality. It boasts an all-suite configuration and embraces the spirit of omotenashi—genuine care for guests.
