Oceania and Regent Seven Seas Cruises Launch PressReader Digital Platform for Enhanced Guest Experience
Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises are set to enhance their guest experience by introducing PressReader, a digital platform that offers access to thousands of newspapers, magazines, and eBooks—all directly on personal devices. The service initially launched on the Oceania Allura and Seven Seas Navigator, with plans for the remaining 14 ships in both fleets to adopt the technology by November.
This initiative aims to replace traditional printed newspapers at sea, aligning with the cruise lines’ commitment to improve guest convenience and advance their Sail & Sustain environmental goals. Executives noted that integrating PressReader offers a sustainable way for travelers to stay informed or unwind with entertainment while enjoying luxury journeys.
Guests can utilize the ships’ Starlink internet service to access a library containing major international titles like The New York Times and The Economist, along with regional and lifestyle publications in various languages. The platform also allows for offline reading, enabling passengers to download content for use during excursions or flights.
Access to PressReader is complimentary for all guests, regardless of their suite category or loyalty status. This feature also enables the cruise lines to share proprietary digital content, including onboard magazines and brochures.
Covering over 120 countries and 60 languages, PressReader marks a significant evolution in guest communications at sea—providing a modern alternative to traditional print media while supporting the sustainability objectives of both luxury cruise brands.
