Fincantieri has confirmed a significant agreement to build a new ultra-luxury cruise ship for Regent Seven Seas Cruises (RSSC), a part of Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings (NCLH). This deal not only reinforces their longstanding partnership but also marks the addition of a third vessel to Regent’s Prestige Class series, scheduled for delivery in 2033.
The new ship will be 257 meters long with a gross tonnage of 77,000, designed to accommodate approximately 822 guests. This creation promises one of the highest space-to-guest ratios in the modern cruise industry. The ship’s design will merge luxury with environmental sustainability, featuring advanced energy-efficient systems and sustainable technologies, aligning with Fincantieri’s vision for eco-friendly shipbuilding.
The collaboration between Fincantieri and NCLH has been a cornerstone of the maritime industry, with Fincantieri having delivered ten vessels to NCLH, which operates Norwegian Cruise Line, Oceania Cruises, and Regent Seven Seas Cruises. Currently, thirteen additional ships are under construction, signifying the ongoing evolution of their strategic alliance in luxury and premium cruising.
