Exploring Princess Cruises’ Caribbean Itineraries for 2027-2028: A Comprehensive Review
Princess Cruises has announced its 2027–2028 Caribbean itineraries, revealing an extensive program that will feature visits to 31 ports and departures from five homeports. A highlight of this season is the introduction of Celebration Key, a new resort situated on Grand Bahama Island, exclusive to Carnival Corporation’s fleet. The inaugural visit is scheduled for November 1, 2026, with the new Star Princess making the first arrival, showcasing the destination’s serene lagoons and expansive beaches.
Starting mid-December, cruise bookings will open, allowing travelers to plan their island experiences. Following Star Princess, Regal Princess will call at Celebration Key on November 9, 2026, with additional visits by Caribbean Princess, Enchanted Princess, Sky Princess, and Sun Princess throughout the upcoming seasons.
Jim Berra, Princess Cruises’ chief commercial officer, noted that this expanded slate will cater to guests’ desires for warm destinations and leisurely exploration. The upcoming Caribbean schedule runs from October to April and marks the debut of Star Princess and Sun Princess sailing together in the Caribbean. Star Princess will also have its inaugural homeport season at Port Canaveral.
The lineup includes Caribbean Princess, Coral Princess, Emerald Princess, Enchanted Princess, Island Princess, Regal Princess, and Sky Princess, totaling 187 departures across 43 routes spanning 4 to 15 days. The itineraries will incorporate several UNESCO-designated sites ranging from St. Kitts’ historical fortress to the volcanic landscapes of Martinique and the lush rainforests of Dominica.
The ports of call extend to 22 islands in the Eastern, Western, and Southern Caribbean, departing from Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Port Canaveral, New York City, and San Juan. Some selected voyages will allow overnight stays in the ABC islands: Aruba, Bonaire, and Curaçao.
In addition, Princess Cruises continues a longstanding tradition of navigating the Panama Canal, a practice that dates back to 1967, underscoring the line’s expertise in traversing this iconic waterway.
For the September 2027 through April 2028 season, Princess will operate 22 departures on five ships: Caribbean Princess, Island Princess, Coral Princess, Emerald Princess, and Star Princess. These itineraries will encompass routes from Fort Lauderdale to both coasts or transiting between Los Angeles or Vancouver and Florida. This season includes calls to 21 ports in nine countries, many of which are UNESCO-listed, offering late-night stays in Cartagena, Aruba, and Puerto Amador.
At the core of the expansion is Celebration Key, designed to provide a wide range of shoreside experiences. The resort features a mile-long beach, tranquil lagoons, and numerous dining options. It includes designated areas for diverse activities: Paradise Plaza, which serves as the entrance steeped in local charm; Starfish Lagoon, a family-friendly area; Calypso Lagoon for adult relaxation; and the adult-exclusive Pearl Cove Beach Club, which includes an infinity pool and fine dining. Additionally, Lokono Cove will offer a marketplace for Bahamian crafts, allowing visitors to take a piece of the island home.
