Introducing Norwegian Luna: NCL’s Newest Ship Set to Dazzle with Concert-Style Tributes and Futuristic Theater Experiences
Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) is set to launch its newest ship, the Norwegian Luna, in March 2026, offering a unique entertainment experience onboard. The ship will feature two main productions: "Rocket Man: A Celebration of Elton John," a concert-style tribute showcasing archival footage and imagery to celebrate the legendary artist’s career; and "HIKO: Innovation Meets Wonder," a sci-fi show blending Cirque-style performance with mixed-reality visuals.
These shows, developed by NCL’s Creative Studios in Tampa, aim to engage a diverse audience, from devoted fans of Elton John to families. The Elton John tribute will highlight beloved hits like “Rocket Man,” “Tiny Dancer,” and “Bennie and the Jets,” presented with elaborate choreography, stunning costumes, and vibrant LED displays. "HIKO" features a character who interacts with the audience throughout the ship, complemented by gravity-defying performances against immersive 3D visuals.
For younger passengers, the ship will offer "Sea of Discovery! An Under-the-Sea Festival," an interactive program designed to spark curiosity. Adults can enjoy "LunaTique," a late-night, 21+ show influenced by Las Vegas-style circus acts, and "Syd Norman’s Presents: A Tribute to Eagles," which celebrates classic rock.
The entertainment offerings will also include themed deck parties like "Island Nights," which blends island rhythms and modern pop, and "Latin LIVE!," featuring live performances that enhance the nightlife aboard Luna. This ambitious entertainment lineup reflects NCL’s commitment to immersive and headline-driven programming to enrich the guest experience on its new Prima Plus-class ship.
