Mystery Unfolds: Passenger Disappears from HAL’s MS Rotterdam Near St. Martin
Authorities on St. Martin have launched a search for a missing U.S. tourist, Ann Evans, who disappeared while on a shore excursion from the cruise ship MS Rotterdam operated by Holland America Line. The 55-year-old woman left the ship in Philipsburg on November 20, 2025, to join an organized tour. After the group reached Marigot on the island’s French side, she disembarked but failed to return.
Following the report of her disappearance, local police began an extensive search across both the Dutch and French parts of St. Martin. Officials have since shared her identity and details to solicit help from the public, asking anyone who may have seen her to come forward. They have also urged Evans to reach out to confirm she is safe.
The MS Rotterdam was on a 21-day voyage through the Southern and Eastern Caribbean, with its stop at Port St. Maarten being the departure point for the excursion.
