Hapag-Lloyd Cruises Introduces Exciting 2-Fare Structure for 2025 Bookings
Hapag-Lloyd Cruises has announced a new fare structure to be implemented for all new bookings starting December 2, 2025. This updated model will replace the previous three-tier pricing system with two clearly defined options: PLATINUM and SILVER. The change aims to simplify the booking process and meet customer demands for increased transparency and flexibility.
Clas Eckholt, Vice President Commercial at TUI Cruises, emphasized that this new two-fare approach is intended to create a more intuitive decision-making process for travelers. The PLATINUM option offers greater flexibility, including a one-time free rebooking up to 90 days prior to departure and the ability to cancel bookings up to 180 days before sailing for a nominal processing fee. For particularly long voyages and upscale suite categories, there will be additional reassurances for early planners. Travelers choosing PLATINUM can also select their cabin or suite as well as their deck and will enjoy early access to shore excursion reservations.
On the other hand, the SILVER fare maintains existing core services, with cabin or suite assignments made by the cruise line at the beginning of the voyage. Guests booking under this fare can reserve shore excursions starting 14 days after publication.
Starting with cruises that depart on January 3, 2026, Hapag-Lloyd will enhance the onboard experience by offering complimentary soft drinks throughout the day for all guests, while core amenities such as champagne on arrival, a daily replenished minibar, 24-hour in-suite dining, and gourmet cuisine options remain unchanged across both fare types.
Existing bookings will be honored under the previous terms.
