Port Melbourne Celebrates Notable Double Call with Arrival of Two Silversea Ships
Port Melbourne experienced a unique event on November 30, 2025, as the sister ships Silver Nova and Silver Moon docked simultaneously for the first time. This rare occurrence attracted many spectators who flocked to the waterfront to admire and photograph the two Silversea vessels.
To celebrate this dual arrival, the Port of Melbourne organized a full day of community events at the pier. The program included live music, small markets, street art, and family-friendly entertainment, all of which helped to draw a larger crowd. Observers positioned themselves along West Finger Pier to enjoy optimal views, while local artist Tom Gerrard worked on a mural and performers from Horns of Leroy entertained the guests. The event received positive feedback from organizers who appreciated the community’s enthusiastic turnout.
This simultaneous docking highlighted Silversea’s plans to bolster its presence in the region during the 2025–2026 season, with three of its ships expected to operate in Australian waters.
After their Melbourne visit, Silver Moon set sail on a 16-day journey to various ports in South Australia and New Zealand, while Silver Nova embarked on a 12-night itinerary that included stops in Tasmania before heading to New Zealand.
