Regent Unveils Excitement: Float Out of Their First New Ship Class in a Decade
Regent Seven Seas Cruises marked a significant milestone with the float out of its latest vessel, the Seven Seas Prestige, on November 27, 2025. This new ship class is the first for the brand in a decade, which emphasizes the company’s strategic move towards luxury cruising.
Jason Montague, the Chief Luxury Officer at Regent, celebrated this moment, expressing gratitude for the collaboration with Fincantieri, the shipyard responsible for the construction. The float-out event included traditional ceremonies such as the breaking of a champagne bottle against the ship’s hull and the cutting of a ceremonial ribbon. It was a festive occasion that highlighted the ship’s growing stature in the luxury cruise market, with the launch day recording the highest number of bookings for a new ship in Regent’s history.
Following the float out, the Seven Seas Prestige will proceed to the outfitting stage, where it will be equipped with lavish suites, elegant lounges, and exquisite dining options. Scheduled for its debut in December 2026, this 76,550-ton vessel will accommodate 822 guests and 630 crew members, ensuring an impressive crew-to-guest ratio.
As part of its inaugural season, the Seven Seas Prestige will offer 13 cruises spanning both Europe and the Caribbean, featuring noteworthy destinations such as Harvest Caye in Belize, the Panama Canal, Lisbon in Portugal, and Bordeaux in France. In addition to the inaugural ship, Regent has plans for two more vessels in the Prestige-class series, set to be delivered in 2030 and 2033.
