Carnival Firenze to Homeport in New York City for 2027-2028 Season
Carnival Cruise Line has announced the deployment details for its ships for the 2027-2028 season, highlighting that the Carnival Firenze will be homeported in New York City. This new assignment is part of Carnival’s strategy to connect major global ports with diverse cruise experiences.
Before starting its New York operations, the Carnival Firenze will carry out a Carnival Journeys cruise from Miami on May 16, 2027, which will include stops at Celebration Key in the Bahamas, Aruba, Curacao, and St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands. After arriving in New York on May 27, 2027, the Firenze will offer a variety of short and mid-length cruises from Manhattan. These itineraries will include 4- and 5-day trips to Bermuda and various Canadian locations, a special 5-day New England and Canada route with stops in Portland, Maine, and Saint John’s in Newfoundland, as well as longer journeys such as a 7-day cruise with multiple days in Bermuda and 8-day Eastern Caribbean tours visiting ports like Celebration Key, Grand Turk, and Half Moon Cay.
Simultaneously, the Carnival Splendor will also expand its offerings in the Asia-Pacific region. Four sailings will be introduced during the 2027-2028 season, with itineraries that range from a 3-day cruise to a 4-day journey to Moreton Island from Sydney, Australia. Moreover, Splendor will embark on two repositioning cruises from Singapore, following its scheduled drydocking. The first voyage will leave Sydney on July 31, 2027, spanning 15 days with destinations including Moreton Island, Airlie Beach, Cairns in Australia, and Lembar and Benoa in Indonesia, featuring a day crossing the Equator. The 16-day return voyage will follow a similar route with an additional stop in Darwin, Australia.
