MSC Magnifica Embarks on an Exciting World Cruise Adventure
The MSC Magnifica has embarked on its 2026 World Cruise, commencing in Europe and set to explore a multitude of destinations over 132 nights. The cruise officially started on January 5, 2026, from Genoa, Italy, and will travel to 46 locations across 33 countries before its return in May.
This global voyage is designed to capture the adventurous spirit of historic explorers, showcasing seven overnight stops along the route. The itinerary spans an impressive 40,000 nautical miles, covering diverse ports in regions including Europe, the Caribbean, the Americas, the Pacific, and Asia, among others. Notable stops on the journey include Bridgetown (Barbados), Cartagena (Colombia), Cabo San Lucas (Mexico), San Diego (California), and cities like Sydney (Australia) and Tokyo (Japan).
Prior to its world cruise, the MSC Magnifica underwent significant refurbishment in late 2025, enhancing the ship’s offerings with upgraded staterooms, new specialty dining options, an improved spa, and a new fitness center.
In a recent update, MSC Cruises adjusted the ship’s original itinerary, initially planned to pass through the Red Sea and Suez Canal, due to security issues in the Middle East. The revised route allows for a lengthened voyage via Africa, adding 12 extra days to the cruise at no additional charge for passengers.
