ACL’s American Encore Set for 2026 Debut in Columbia and Snake River Service
American Cruise Lines (ACL) has announced that its new riverboat, American Encore, is on track to enter service in May 2026. This vessel will launch its inaugural season on the Columbia and Snake Rivers, marking a significant addition to ACL’s fleet of USA-built riverboats.
Designed to enhance passenger experience, American Encore emphasizes spacious interiors and modern amenities, creating a low passenger density comparable to smaller yacht operations. The ship will accommodate up to 180 guests in staterooms, all featuring private balconies. A standout feature of the ship is its four-story glass atrium, which fills public areas with natural light.
In a first for ACL riverboats, the American Encore will offer a new accommodation category called the Signature Suite, spanning over 1,000 square feet. This suite includes a wraparound balcony, separate living and sleeping areas, and a luxurious bathroom with a soaking tub and heated floors.
Public amenities aboard American Encore encompass a formal dining room, a casual café, various lounges, and a top-deck lounge complete with an outdoor walking track and a large fitness center. The ship represents the latest advancement in ACL’s series of modern American riverboats, following the introduction of American Song in 2018.
Following the launch of American Encore, ACL plans to add two more sister ships, American Anthem and American Grace, to the Columbia and Snake Rivers in 2027 and 2028, respectively. Specific details regarding the vessel’s christening and its inaugural itinerary will be announced closer to its operational start. Bookings for American Encore and other ships in the fleet are open through the 2028 season.
