Unveiling the InTUItion-Class: Mein Schiff Flow’s Innovative Design and Suite Concept Ahead of Dubai Premiere
TUI Cruises has unveiled the design and hospitality framework for their upcoming ship, Mein Schiff Flow, which is set to debut with a roundtrip service from Dubai. Currently under construction at Fincantieri’s Monfalcone yard in Italy, this vessel is the second in the new InTUItion class, joining the recently delivered Mein Schiff Relax.
The design philosophy emphasizes spatial clarity, natural light, and a seamless connection with the surrounding seascape, moving away from traditional signature attractions. The InTUItion program focuses on crafting a balanced onboard atmosphere characterized by openness and ease of movement.
A significant aspect of Mein Schiff Flow’s design is its suite offerings, integrated into the ship’s overall layout instead of existing as an isolated premium section. It will feature five suite categories, including Junior Suites and Grand Freedom Suites, with a design language that prioritizes generous space, bright finishes, and marine-inspired color schemes of green, blue, and turquoise.
The Grand Freedom Suites, which are the most luxurious, span about 88 square meters across two levels and include private verandas, separate sleeping areas, two bathrooms, and a private infrared sauna. These suites feature extensive panoramic glazing to enhance the connection to the sea.
Deck 16 will have a dedicated suite sun deck complete with a whirlpool, sun loungers, lounge areas, and a shallow pool, engineered to provide low guest density and unobstructed sightlines, ensuring a tranquil and spacious outdoor ambiance.
Dining is also a pivotal aspect of the suite experience, with guests having access to two exclusive restaurants: X-Coast and X-View. X-Coast, themed like a beach club, will operate all day and be accessed through the X-Lounge, while X-View will feature both indoor and outdoor seating, allowing for stunning ocean views. In the evenings, X-View will transform into a Mediterranean dining venue created in collaboration with Michelin-starred chef Theodor Falser.
As part of the ship’s pre-launch plans, TUI Cruises has initiated a digital preview that gives potential guests a chance to explore the suite areas before their voyage. This initiative uses personalized 3D tours, guided by an AI-generated avatar, to allow guests to navigate the accommodations and private spaces, providing a realistic sense of the onboard environment.
These innovations highlight how Mein Schiff Flow aims to embody the InTUItion class philosophy, promising a cohesive guest experience in this spectacular new addition to the TUI fleet as it prepares for its inaugural season in the Middle East.
